Brilliant Rainbow Quinoa seeds produce vibrant multi-colored seed heads from red, orange, pink, and yellow, to green. As a highly nutritious, gluten-free pseudo-grain, quinoa is packed with protein, fiber, and essential amino acids. It thrives in well-draining soil with at least six hours of sunlight, and can be started indoors 4–6 weeks before the last frost or sown directly outdoors once temperatures warm up. Space plants about a foot apart, keep the soil evenly moist, and harvest the seeds when the heads are dry. Rinse them thoroughly to remove their natural saponin coating before cooking. Avoid growing during the time of year when tempertaures exceed 90F because it will inhibit seed production. Quinoa grows best in tempertaures between 60-70F, so grow it during the time of year when you have a solid 3-4 months time of temperatures between or near this range.
