The 'Olympian' fig is a fantastic choice for fig lovers, thriving in a wide range of climates from cold climates like zone 6, the Pacific Northwest, and hot/humid southern states. With its thin purple skin and red to violet flesh, this fig tree produces incredibly sweet fruits. It's a low-maintenance, fast-growing plant that can even be grown in a container. This is an heirloom variety originally from Washington state. Enjoy a bountiful harvest of tangerine-sized fruits, perfect for eating fresh or incorporating into various recipes, both sweet and savory. Plants are self-fertile so you only need one. But growing two close together will increase yields.

Ideal Growing Conditions
USDA Hardiness Zones: 6-10
Protect young plants if temperatures drop below 40F. Once established, they can handle more cold. Cold hardy down to 10F-20F.
This fig is a deciduous plant, meaning it will loose all its leaves during the winter.
Height at maturity: 8-15FT. Prune to keep small if growing in a small space.
Sun: Full sun is best for maximum growth and production. Can tolerate some partial shade but production will be decreased.
Soil: Everything grows best in soil that is heavy in composted organic matter BUT this plant grows just fine in a variety of soils.
Water: Monitor young plants and keep consistent water.
Fertilizer: Fertilize in the spring when you notice new growth, once again in late May, and one more time in late July.

Shipping Information

Orders are shipped in 1-3 business days excluding holidays or delays due to natural disasters like hurricanes.

Seeds are shipped in bubble mailers so they will not be pushed through USPS roller machines which can damage the seeds. I will not ship seeds in an envelope for this reason.

Seeds will be shipped with no planting instructions to keep seed costs low to the buyer. Germination and plant care information is included in the description. I encourage each gardener to research specifics on how to be successful growing them. I also have lots of information on my TikTok, Instagram and YouTube channel all under the account name jerrasgarden. I started this shop to share my love of certain seed varieties and spread the knowledge of gardening. Please contact me if you can't find information or have additional questions.

Orders with live plants are packed on Mondays and Thursdays (excluding holidays or delays because of natural disasters. Plants are shipped in boxes with packaging material to protect them while they are in transit.

Refunds & Exchanges

No returns or refunds once shipped. I am not responsible for lost or damaged packages caused by USPS. Since there are so many factors that affect germination and growing success, no refunds or exchanges are allowed once seeds have shipped. These are the same seeds I use in my personal garden so I can attest to their viability. Seeds are fresh season to season.
