Old Field Goldenrod (Solidago nemoralis) is a native wildflower beloved by pollinators and gardeners alike for its bright yellow blooms and ecological value. This hardy perennial thrives in tough conditions—poor soil, full sun, and drought—and blooms late in the season when many other flowers have faded, providing a critical nectar source for bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects. Old Field Goldenrod is compact, making it a perfect choice for native plant gardens, meadow plantings, or wildlife-friendly borders.

PLANTING
Germination: 2-3 weeks
Seed Sowing Depth: press seeds down so they make contact with the soil. Do not cover with soil.
Sowing: ***Please note: goldenrod seeds need light to sprout*** Don’t cover them with soil. For the best results, start them indoors under grow lights. First, place the seed packet in the fridge for about 2 months before your last spring frost date. Then sow seeds in some containers by sprinkling them over the surface, gently press them down, and mist with water. Keep them under a bright light and transplant outdoors once the plants are bigger and have strong roots.
Orders are shipped in 1-3 business days excluding holidays or delays due to natural disasters like hurricanes.
Seeds are shipped in bubble mailers so they will not be pushed through USPS roller machines which can damage the seeds. I will not ship seeds in an envelope for this reason.
Seeds will be shipped with no planting instructions to keep seed costs low to the buyer. Germination and plant care information is included in the description. I encourage each gardener to research specifics on how to be successful growing them. Orders with live plants are packed on Mondays and Thursdays (excluding holidays or delays because of natural disasters. Plants are shipped in boxes with packaging material to protect them while they are in transit.
No returns or refunds once shipped. I am not responsible for lost or damaged packages caused by USPS. Since there are so many factors that affect germination and growing success, no refunds or exchanges are allowed once seeds have shipped. These are the same seeds I use in my personal garden so I can attest to their viability. Seeds are fresh season to season.
