The Jack Be Little pumpkin is a beloved miniature variety that produces adorable, bright orange pumpkins perfect for decorating, crafting, or even roasting whole. Each fruit measures about 2–3 inches across with a smooth, glossy skin and classic pumpkin shape that holds well after harvest. These mini pumpkins grow on productive, compact vines that yield a surprisingly large number of fruits per plant. They mature quickly, making them ideal for home gardeners, kids’ gardens, and small growing spaces. For best results, sow seeds directly outdoors in full sun after the danger of frost has passed, allowing plenty of room for vines to spread. Keep soil evenly moist and mulch to retain water and suppress weeds. Harvest when pumpkins are fully orange, and enjoy their long shelf life as cheerful fall décor or edible treats.

Pumpkin growing tips: To control powdery mildew and other leaf diseases caused by mold, fungus, or bacteria, simply remove yellowing, damaged, or diseased leaves by hand once weekly to decrease the spread. Spray with 1 cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide per gallon of water to clean and disinfect if needed. Spray pumpkin plants with BT (Bacillus thuringiensis) if you notice chewed up leaves caused by worm/caterpillar infestations. Hand pollinate the female flowers to ensure they get pollinated and produce fruit.

Planting Instructions
Germination: 5-10 days

Seed Sowing Depth: 1/2” deep

Sowing: Direct sowing is preferred after your last spring frost date. In warmer climates can also direct sow at the end of summer for a fall harvest.

How to harvest: For the best flavor and texture harvest when the stem piece connecting the pumpkin to the vine is all dried out and brown.

Days to maturity: 95 days

Common Diseases: Pumpkins get leaf diseases caused by pathogens like molds, fungus spores, bacteria etc.... It is very common, so dont worry. Spray with 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide per gallon of water to clean and disinfect. Repeat every 5 days or so as a preventative, or until you notice the spread of the disease has stopped.

Common Pests: Critters like rabbits love to munch on newly germinated seedlings, so protection from small animals might be required. If you notice the leaves are chewed up and there are small black, green, or orange balls, worms/caterpillars are chewing up the plants. Spray with BT or spinosad to treat for the worms.

Shipping Information

Orders are shipped in 1-3 business days excluding holidays or delays due to natural disasters like hurricanes.

Seeds are shipped in bubble mailers so they will not be pushed through USPS roller machines which can damage the seeds. I will not ship seeds in an envelope for this reason.

Seeds will be shipped with no planting instructions to keep seed costs low to the buyer. Germination and plant care information is included in the description. I encourage each gardener to research specifics on how to be successful growing them. I also have lots of information on my TikTok, Instagram and YouTube channel all under the account name jerrasgarden. I started this shop to share my love of certain seed varieties and spread the knowledge of gardening. Please contact me if you can't find information or have additional questions.

Orders with live plants are packed on Mondays and Thursdays (excluding holidays or delays because of natural disasters. Plants are shipped in boxes with packaging material to protect them while they are in transit.

Refunds & Exchanges

No returns or refunds once shipped. I am not responsible for lost or damaged packages caused by USPS. Since there are so many factors that affect germination and growing success, no refunds or exchanges are allowed once seeds have shipped. These are the same seeds I use in my personal garden so I can attest to their viability. Seeds are fresh season to season.
