Plains Coreopsis (Coreopsis tinctoria) is a cheerful, fast-growing annual wildflower that brings vibrant yellow blooms with deep maroon centers to gardens, meadows, and pollinator patches. This hardy native is drought-tolerant, easy to grow, and blooms over a long season—making it a favorite for both beginner and experienced gardeners. It thrives in poor soil, attracts bees and butterflies, and is ideal for wildflower mixes, cut flower arrangements, or naturalizing open spaces. Plains Coreopsis also self-sows easily, so you’ll enjoy its sunny blooms year after year with minimal effort. Its bold colors and airy form make it a standout in any sunny garden.

PLANTING
Germination: 10-15 days. Cold stratification helps.
Seed Sowing Depth: 1/4” deep
Sowing: In late fall, direct sow seeds just under the soil surface. They’ll sprout and overwinter. If you prefer to plant in spring, mix the seeds with damp sand, refrigerate for 30 days to cold stratify (helps get better germination), then sow them outdoors.
Orders are shipped in 1-3 business days excluding holidays or delays due to natural disasters like hurricanes.
Seeds are shipped in bubble mailers so they will not be pushed through USPS roller machines which can damage the seeds. I will not ship seeds in an envelope for this reason.
Seeds will be shipped with no planting instructions to keep seed costs low to the buyer. Germination and plant care information is included in the description. I encourage each gardener to research specifics on how to be successful growing them. Orders with live plants are packed on Mondays and Thursdays (excluding holidays or delays because of natural disasters. Plants are shipped in boxes with packaging material to protect them while they are in transit.
No returns or refunds once shipped. I am not responsible for lost or damaged packages caused by USPS. Since there are so many factors that affect germination and growing success, no refunds or exchanges are allowed once seeds have shipped. These are the same seeds I use in my personal garden so I can attest to their viability. Seeds are fresh season to season.
