Plant Bundle Discount - 3 Varieties of Short Day Onion Live Plant Bundles
Get 1 bundle of 40 live onion transplants for each of the 3 different short day onion varieties that I offer. That is a total of 120 onion transplants.
Get a 15% discount when you purchase plant bundles instead of separately.

This bundle includes 40 transplants for each of the short day onion varities listed below.

Texas Legend Yellow Sweet Onion: Celebrated for its uniformity, Texas Legend onions produce extra large yellow sweet onions with a diameter of about 6 inches across. This cultivar is also known for its uniformity and early maturity, often ready for harvest 2 weeks earlier than other sweet onions. Please note this is a short-day onion variety that grows best in South USA regions, with adaptability to intermediate-day areas when planted early. Texas Legend produces a classic globe-shaped, sweet yellow onion, which is open-pollinated by natural elements like wind and insects. Under optimal conditions, expect impressive yields of 6-inch onions about 105 days after planting from transplants.

Southern Belle Red Sweet Onion: Blushing a rich, deep red, the Southern Belle onion is both beautiful and exceptionally sweet! Enjoy the bold flavor and striking color of these charming, flattened globe-shaped, ruby red bulbs, perfect for salads or as an eye-catching garnish. Southern Belle onions offer superior uniformity, enhanced resistance to diseases and bolting, and a larger size potential than other short-day red varieties. When properly cured, these onions reveal vibrant red rings that look stunning in any dish. Known as the sweetest red onion for short-day regions, Southern Belle Red has been improved for even better resistance to bolting and disease.

Texas Early White: This onion is renowned for its ease of growing, exceptional flavor, and disease resistance. Texas Early White is a sweet, globe-shaped, open-pollinated onion. It boasts resistance to greening, bolting, and single centers, with excellent pink-root tolerance. With proper care, you can expect a yield of 5-6 inch bulbs ready to harvest in about 105 days from transplanting.

How to Plant
I recommend that you plant these starter plants in a 1 gallon container so you can monitor its growth. Use potting mix or compost. Once it has developed a bigger root system, you can plant outside or pot up.
