🌱 What You Will Receive 🌱
Each bundle includes 10 dormant 1 year old asparagus crowns (see last image), that are mostly male. Crowns are bare root plants, meaning they are shipped without soil or foliage, but with healthy root systems ready to plant. Plant crowns as soon as they arrive in early spring, in full sun and well-draining soil. It’s recommended not to harvest during the first spring after planting, and instead wait until the plant’s second spring season before beginning to harvest. Once established, asparagus can produce harvests for 15–20 years or more.
🌱 How Many Should You Order? 🌱
Starter Patch: 10 crowns – Perfect for beginners or small garden spaces.
Family Patch – Best Value: 20 crowns – Ideal for gardeners who want a larger asparagus harvest each spring.
🌱 Pre-Sale Timeline 🌱
This pre-sale runs through Sunday, March 22, 2026. Then it will close and we start preparing to ship.
Orders will ship in the order received.
Estimated delivery: First or second week of April 2026, just in time for spring planting.
⚠️ Important Shipping Note ⚠️
If you purchase asparagus crowns along with other seeds or plants, your entire order will ship together with the asparagus crowns.
🌱 How the Pre-Sale Works 🌱
• Place your order during the pre-sale window to reserve your crowns
• A tracking will be created shortly after purchase, but will not update until your order is in transit.
• We begin preparing & shipping orders after the pre-sale ends.
• Tracking will update once your package is officially in transit.
🌱 About the Varieties 🌱
Millennium Green Asparagus
A highly productive modern variety known for thick green spears, strong vigor, and excellent yields. Millennium performs well across a wide range of climates and is a favorite for both beginner gardeners and experienced growers.
Purple Passion Asparagus
A unique variety with beautiful purple spears and a naturally sweeter flavor. The spears are often more tender and less fibrous than traditional green asparagus. When cooked, they turn green but retain their delicious flavor.
🌱 How to Plant Asparagus Crowns 🌱
Follow these simple steps for best results:
• Choose a location with full sun and well-draining soil with lots of organic matter or compost.
• Dig a trench 6–8 inches deep and about 12–18 inches wide. Work in some organic granular fertilizer to give them a boost.
• Place crowns 12–18 inches apart in the trench with the growing point facing up and roots spread out.
• Cover crowns with 2–3 inches of soil at first.
• As the plants grow, gradually fill in the trench with soil until reaching ground level.
• Keep soil evenly moist but not waterlogged.
📏 Spacing Tip📏
Asparagus crowns are planted 12–18 inches apart, so 10 crowns will plant a bed about 10–15 feet long, while 20 crowns creates a larger patch that produces a bigger harvest each spring.

⏳ Harvest Tip⏳
It’s recommended not to harvest during the first spring after planting, and instead wait until the plant’s second spring season before beginning to harvest. Give the roots time to establish and grow. Big root systems produce big harvests.
🚚 Shipping Information 🚚
Plants will ship using USPS or UPS, whichever option will get them to you the fastest. This may be ground or priority depending on location. My goal is always to ship live plants in the safest and quickest way possible so they arrive healthy and ready to plant.
Shipping Information
Shipping Information
SEEDS
- Seeds can be shipped to states within the USA. No shipping to outside of the USA is available.
- Orders ship within 1-3 business days, not including weekends, holidays, or delays caused by natural disasters.
- If my local USPS/UPS office is closed, for example due to inclement weather like a hurricane or snow storm, then I resume shipping the very first day they re-open.
- I am not open to the public so shipping is the only option.
- Seeds are shipped in bubble mailers to ensure that they are not pushed through roller machines which can crush the seeds. For this reason, I do not ship in a plain envelope.
- Seeds will be shipped with no planting instructions to keep seed costs low to the buyer. Germination and plant care information is included in the description. I encourage each gardener to research specifics on how to be successful growing them. I also have lots of information on my TikTok, Instagram and YouTube channel all under the account name jerrasgarden. I started this shop to share my love of certain seed varieties and spread the knowledge of gardening. Please contact me if you can't find information or have additional questions.
PLANTS & RHIZOMES
- I can only ship live plant products within the USA.
- I only use USPS Priority or UPS shipping if an order contains live plant products. This is to ensure they are not in transit for a long period of time.
- Orders with plants will ship the following Monday after the order was placed. This is to ensure live plant products have the longest stretch of week days while in transit, and don't get stuck in the post office over a weekend or holiday. If Monday is a holiday, then we cannot ship, and orders are held to ship the next Monday.
- If there is inclement weather, such as snow storms or hurricanes impacting shipping routes, I will hold from shipping orders until routes have cleared. I am located in Florida and frequently get impacted by hurricanes during hurricane season. I resume shipping as soon as my local post office opens back up or the inclement weather has passed.
DELIVERED BUT NOT FOUND
- If there is an issue with your delivery, like tracking says "delivered" but you cannot find your package, contact your local USPS office immediately as they should be able to help you locate the package. Or wait a few days, as customers have reported back to me that the package shows up a few days later even though it says "delivered". I am not responsible for packages that are lost or stolen.
- If it has been a full 7 days after tracking says delivered, and the pakage still has not shown up or arrived, please email me at info@jerrasgarden.com so I can engage the help of USPS/UPS with locating the package. Do not wait more than 14 days after delivery to let me know because then USPS/UPS cannot really help. If the lost package is reported to me beyond 14 days after delivery - I cannot help and I will not ship a replacement.
Refunds & Exchanges
Refunds & Exchanges
Refund & Return Policy
All sales are final once an order has shipped. Due to the nature of live plants and seeds, we do not accept returns or offer refunds once items have shipped, except in the limited circumstances outlined below.
Seeds: Since there are many factors beyond our control that affect germination and growing success—including climate, soil conditions, watering, and care—no refunds or exchanges are offered on seeds once they have shipped. All seeds sold are fresh, viable, and the same seeds we use in our own personal garden.
Live Plants: Live plants are non-refundable and non-replaceable. Orders containing live plants are typically shipped the following Monday or Tuesday after the order is placed, and we are unable to hold plant orders for shipment at a later date.
Cold Temperatures: If you are located in a cold climate, please be aware that during the winter months we are not responsible for cold damage during transit or delays caused by winter storms or severe weather. To help reduce the risk of cold damage, we recommend placing plant orders during times of the year when temperatures in your area are warm enough for safe shipping.
Many of our customers are located in warm or tropical climates, where we are able to ship plants year-round. Because we ship a high volume of orders, we do not have the ability to filter or hold orders based on the destination’s weather conditions or climate. For this reason, it is the customer’s responsibility to consider their local weather and growing conditions before placing an order for live plants.
USDA Garden Zones: Customers are responsible for selecting plants that are suitable for their growing conditions. Each plant listing includes information about the recommended growing conditions and USDA garden zones, and we cannot guarantee success if plants are purchased for areas outside of their recommended zones.
We gladly offer a replacement if a plant arrives dead upon delivery.
To be eligible for a replacement:
- You must contact us within 24 hours of delivery
- Email info@jerrasgarden.com
- Include clear photos of all plants in the order, including packaging if possible
Reports made after 24 hours of delivery will not be eligible for a refund or replacement. We are unable to replace or refund plants reported outside of this timeframe, as plant health after delivery is influenced by factors out of our control such as handling, environmental conditions, and care once received.
Shipping Issues
We are not responsible for lost, delayed, or damaged packages caused by USPS or UPS once the package is in the carrier’s possession. Shipping carriers are responsible for transit-related issues.
