Bring the authentic taste of Thai cuisine straight from your garden with our Thai Round Green Eggplant Seeds! These petite, globe-shaped eggplants are a staple in Southeast Asian cooking, prized for their crisp texture and delicate, slightly bitter flavor. Perfect for stir-fries, curries, and traditional Thai dishes, they add a unique and delicious twist to any recipe. A must-have for lovers of Asian cooking, this variety is easy to grow, thriving in warm conditions and full sun—ideal for both home gardens and containers. Expect multiple harvests of these small yet flavor-packed fruits throughout the season, and enjoy their versatility in the kitchen by using them in everything from curries to grilled side dishes. For best results, start seeds indoors about 6–8 weeks before the last frost date (or sow directly in warm soil), keep the temperature around 75–85°F, and maintain consistent moisture. Harvest when the eggplants reach about 1–2 inches in diameter for optimum flavor and texture.

Ideal Growing Conditions

Sun: Full Sun

Water: Allow the soil to dry out a little bit in-between watering

Fertilizer: Add fertilizer into the planting hole at transplant time. Also fertilize once a month with an organic granular fertilizer, like Espoma Garden-Tone to boost growth and production.

When & How To Sow Seeds: I highly recommend you sow seeds indoors so you can control the growing environment better. Sow 3 seeds per 4 inch pot, filled with sterile seed starting mix. Fertilize with a liquid fertilizer once the first set of true leaves appear. It will take 2-3 months for it to reach transplant size. Plant outside after all danger of frost has passed.

Germination: 10-15 days

Days To Maturity: 75 days from transplanting into the garden.

How & When To Harvest: Harvest when the eggplant is about 2 to 3 inches across and is green/white in color

Common Diseases: Eggplant can get some powdery mildew, spots, or blight in very wet conditions. Improve airflow by spacing plants 3 FT apart and prune out old, dead, yellowing, or heavily diseased leaves. Spray with 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide per gallon of water to clean and disinfect.

Common Pests: The most common pests when growing eggplant are aphids and spider mites. Knock aphids off your plants with a strong blast of water from your water hose. Spray with spinosad for severe aphid infestations and if you have spider mites.

Shipping Information

Orders are shipped in 1-3 business days excluding holidays or delays due to natural disasters like hurricanes.

Seeds are shipped in bubble mailers so they will not be pushed through USPS roller machines which can damage the seeds. I will not ship seeds in an envelope for this reason.

Seeds will be shipped with no planting instructions to keep seed costs low to the buyer. Germination and plant care information is included in the description. I encourage each gardener to research specifics on how to be successful growing them. I also have lots of information on my TikTok, Instagram and YouTube channel all under the account name jerrasgarden. I started this shop to share my love of certain seed varieties and spread the knowledge of gardening. Please contact me if you can't find information or have additional questions.

Orders with live plants are packed on Mondays and Thursdays (excluding holidays or delays because of natural disasters. Plants are shipped in boxes with packaging material to protect them while they are in transit.

Refunds & Exchanges

Refund & Return Policy

All sales are final once an order has shipped.

Due to the nature of live plants and seeds, we do not accept returns or offer refunds once items have shipped, except in the limited circumstances outlined below.

Seeds

Since there are many factors beyond our control that affect germination and growing success—including climate, soil conditions, watering, and care—no refunds or exchanges are offered on seeds once they have shipped. All seeds sold are fresh, viable, and the same seeds we use in our own personal garden.

Live Plants

Live plants are non-refundable and non-replaceable. However, we gladly offer a replacement if a plant arrives dead upon delivery.

To be eligible for a replacement:

  • You must contact us within 24 hours of delivery
  • Email info@jerrasgarden.com
  • Include clear photos of all plants in the order, including packaging if possible

Reports made after 24 hours of delivery will not be eligible for a refund or replacement. We are unable to replace or refund plants reported outside of this timeframe, as plant health after delivery is influenced by factors out of our control such as handling, environmental conditions, and care once received.

Shipping Issues

We are not responsible for lost, delayed, or damaged packages caused by USPS or UPS once the package is in the carrier’s possession. Shipping carriers are responsible for transit-related issues.

By placing an order, you agree to this refund and replacement policy.
